The Saudi Space Commission (SSC) participated at a webinar on ‘outer space economy’ organized by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) as part of a webinar series aimed to raise awareness and encourage synergies among space stakeholders worldwide.

The webinar, entitled “Introduction to Space Economy,” was the first in a series of specialized webinars planned to be organized by UNOOSA with the attendance of representatives from over 100 countries.

The 90-minute session was inaugurated by a speech delivered by UNOOSA Director Simonetta Di Pippo.

The space-focused webinar series is aimed at raising awareness of space economy, improving synergies between current space initiatives and endeavors, unlocking opportunities for communication between governments and facilitating international cooperation.

The webinars will be attended by space stakeholders from government and the private sector, including decision makers, government officials, NGOs and academia.
